Baby Noah - Week 16

Weight:  About 17 lbs!

Health Noah is back to normal this week!

Sleep:   Noah is back to his normal sleep schedule.  He normally falls asleep between 8 and 9 and wakes up between 6 and 7 am :)  We have a nice bedtime routine which includes rocking him to sleep on his glider while listening to Taylor Swift on my iPhone.

Clothes: Some 3-6 and some 6-12.

Social Noah had a very exciting week... he met his cousins finally!  My brother, David and his wife, Trisha came down with their kids for a visit.  My brother was here for the weekend and then Trisha stayed with the kids thru Thursday.  Noah met Kaitlyn (5), Matthew (2), and Aidan (born a week before Noah!).

We had fun putting Noah and Aidan next to each other to compare them since they are only a week apart, and Matthew decided he wanted to join in on the fun.   I can only imagine next Christmas when these three boys are running around!  It will definitely only get crazier!

Diet: All formula.

Baby Gear Love:  Nothing really new this week, but we did buy Noah's high chair this weekend.  I can't wait to set it up and try it next week when he gets to have rice cereal for the first time!

Crying:  Noah is back to his usual happy self and not crying as much :)

Likes:   I think Noah liked going out more this week and meeting his cousins, but I do think he got a little overwhelmed at times.  We live a pretty quiet life normally, so I don't think he was used to the noise that a 5 and 2 year old make when they play.

Milestones:  Noah met his cousins!

Noah is getting really good at holding his head up!

Postpartum:  This week my friend Marlaina came over for a visit.  It was nice to catch up over some pizza.  She's met Noah a few times already, but this was the first time we finally got a picture of them together!

Baby Noah - Week 15

Weight:  About 16 and a half pounds.

Health Noah spent most of this week feeling sick.  He finally started feeling better on Wednesday, and I'm so glad!  It was so sad to see him so congested and the cough just broke my heart!  It was so unlike him to sleep all day and not constantly smiling and laughing.  It's nice to have my super happy boy back!

Sleep:   While he was sick he wasn't sleeping through the night, but slept more than I expected.  Many nights he would fall asleep before dinner and as a result would be up between 3 and 4.  Wednesday night (after he started feeling better), he went to bed at 8, woke up at midnight, 4 am, and 7 am.  He was totally happy, but just awake and wanting to eat.  I think that his appetite was back and needed to catch up on eating!

Clothes: Some 3-6 and some 6-12.  Like his mommy, he carries his weight in his stomach :)

Social This week was really boring socially since Noah was sick.  Thankfully my mom came over to help out.  I wasn't getting much sleep since I was worried about his breathing and he was waking up more, so she would let me get a nap in during the day :)

Diet: All formula.    While he was sick he was definitely eating less each day... very strange for Noah!

Baby Gear Love:  While sick, we rubbed Baby VapoRub on Noah's chest and feet and we had the humidifier running all the time.

He also really likes his bouncy chair and likes to watch the alligator, elephant, and birdie do flips (grandma flips them around for him).

do you think he has enough toys???

Noah has also started using his boppy pillow to do tummy time :)

Crying:  This week was bad, but it was because he was sick.  Usually Noah just cries when he's hungry, so it was strange to not be able to appease him with a bottle.  Thankfully I could usually calm him by rocking him in his glider.

Likes:   Noah likes to read with Grandma!

This week I put Noah in his crib so I could use the bathroom.  At first he was crying, but after 10 seconds with the mobile on, he stopped.  I guess he likes those musical elephants!

And this week we learned Noah likes his thumb!

Milestones:  Noah survived his first cold!

Noah also celebrated his first Valentine's Day!  Noah gave me a chocolate heart and a card that had a sticker inside saying "Well Loved Mom".

Postpartum:  It was inevitable that I would catch Noah's cold, so here I am with a sore throat, headache, and runny nose.  I'm just glad my symptoms didn't start until the tail end of Noah's cold.  It would have been brutal taking care of him feeling crummy.

Despite feeling sick, I had an amazing Valentine's Day yesterday.  Chris surprised me with chocolates and a cookie in the morning and Noah got me this huge chocolate heart.  Chris had also ordered me flowers, the website said they were "delivered", but they never came.  Chris was so upset, but I was honestly thrilled with all the other surprises I got that day :)

Baby Noah - Week 14

Weight:  About 15 and a half pounds.

Health Noah hasn't been feeling well this week.  On Tuesday night he slept for almost 12 hours, then fell back to sleep right after eating Wednesday morning and slept for another 3 hours.  He had sounded really congested and kind of warm, so I called the doctor.  They were able to see Noah that afternoon, and thankfully it's just a cold.  The doctor told me to just run the humidifier and let him sleep all he wants.  As a result he's been sleeping a lot and pretty fussy when he's awake.  I really hope he gets better soon!

Sleep:   Noah's been sleeping great.  He's been sleeping between 10-12 hours each night.  Wednesday night he did wake up at 4:30, but I think that's because he's congested.

Clothes: We've started getting him some 6-12 size clothes.  The size 3-6 still fit, but the 6-12 look super comfy on him.

Social Noah met my high school friend, Kristen.  It was so nice for her to finally be able to come meet him.

On Saturday, our friends Elena and Brian came to meet Noah.

Saturday night we took Noah to my parents' house for a little party.  My parents threw a Farewell party for some family friends of ours who are moving.

On Sunday, Grammy and Grandpa came over for a visit.

Diet: All formula.

Baby Gear Love:  I really love our video monitor!  He's still sleeping with us at night, but I love using it during nap times.

We also took out his baby carrier again this week.  We used it to go downstairs to let Grammy and Grandpa in... Chris even let Noah press the button for the elevator!

Crying:  Noah's been pretty fussy as a result of his cold.

Likes:   Noah likes to read books now.  We really should do it more often!

This is such a "Chris Face"

Milestones:  Noah had his first cold.  Noah also watched his first Super Bowl!
