Baby Noah - Week 12

Weight: According to our very official method of weighing him (me holding him on the bathroom scale), he weighs 16 lbs.  Him gaining a pound a week eventually has to stop right???

Health Noah's been great this week.

Sleep:   This week Noah has been amazing in the sleep department!  Starting Monday night he was sleeping 5-7 hours straight, waking up to eat, and going back to sleep for another 3 hours... it's been great!  He still sleeps in our room at night, but takes his naps in his crib.

Clothes: Size 3-6

Social On Saturday Noah met Chris' Great Uncle Bobby and Aunt Judy.

Diet: This week has been all formula because of the mastitis (see Postpartum).

Baby Gear Love:  Noah still loves his piano toy!

Crying:  Noah has been having a cranky period between 5 and 7 where he seems to cry more, but if we walk around with him he's fine.  In general though he's a very happy baby.

Likes:    Noah loves to interact with people now!  It's so fun to "chat" with him and have him smile and giggle at us!

He also still loves bath time with daddy...

Milestones:  Noah sleeping for 6-7 hours straight!   Noah has also started napping in his crib!

Postpartum:  On Saturday I went to the doctor and found out I had mastitis.  He put me on an antibiotic that I have to take 4 times a day for a week.  Technically he said I can continue to feed him my breastmilk, but that night when he drank it he had projectile spit up for the first time.  As a result I decided to have him drink formula until I am better.

 Happy 12 Weeks Noah!

Baby Noah - Week 11

Weight He's a big boy... weighs 15 lbs!

Health Noah is no longer congested... I'm so glad he's feeling better now!

Sleep:   Noah's been sleeping in our room and every night he sleeps a little bit longer.  It seems like gas often wakes him up crying and I feel so bad for him.

Sunday morning we let Daddy sleep in and we enjoyed some one on one time on the glider... I love the moments we have just the two of us.

Clothes: Size 3-6

Social We've had a few friends come over to meet Noah.  On Friday night, Craig (Chris' friend) and his girlfriend Jenny came over for dinner.  It was really cute to see Craig with Noah and how he made him laugh.

On Saturday, my friend Jill came over and we went to Panera for lunch.  I keep meaning to get a picture of Noah with her!

Saturday night, we went over to my parents' house for dinner.

A change of outfit was necessary, then time to sleep!

On Monday my mom came over and since the weather was nice we decided to go out for lunch.  We went up to the Creamery and Noah slept the whole time :)

We also took Noah out to the mall and out to lunch on Thursday... it was his first time at the Cheesecake Factory!

Diet: Pumped Breast Milk and formula.   Recently, Noah has been getting so giggly.  It's so fun to chat with him while I pump...

Baby Gear Love:  Noah has always loved his swing but recently he's started to follow the birds that go around in a circle.  It's so fun to watch him tracking things and people now!

Since Noah likes Sophie the Giraffe, Grandma got him the bath toy version... I'm sure he'll love her just as much!

Crying:  Tuesday night he woke up screaming... he had really bad gas and it took a good 30 minutes for me to calm him down and get him to burp.  I felt so bad for him!

Likes:  Noah loves going out on adventures.  Thankfully January has been fairly mild so far, so we've been able to go out more and take a few walks.  Noah also likes to sit and observe now.

Milestones:  Noah has started to talk/babble a lot now.  I love the personality that is shining through!  I was able to get this video of Noah on Wednesday!  I know that he has no clue what he's saying, but we like to pretend he's said his "first word".

Just this week I've noticed that Noah has started to acknowledge me and himself in the mirror.  I don't think he realizes it's him (I'm not sure when they make that connection), but it's fun to see him smile back in the mirror.

Postpartum:  This week I had my first full day completely alone with Noah.  Timing pumping with either his nap schedule or when he's in a super good mood was not always the easiest, but all in all we did GREAT!  I still enjoy having my mom come over to help out and keep us company, but at least now I am confident that Noah and I can do this on our own.

 Happy 11 Weeks Noah!

Baby Noah - Week 10

Weight We weighed him by stepping on the scale without him and then with him and it shows that he weighs 14 lbs.  Not sure how accurate it is, but at least it gives us an estimate.

Health Noah's cough has gotten better this week, but his spit up still seems a little phlegmy.  We've continued to run the humidifier.

Sleep:   This past week we have made an effort to have Noah sleep in our room with us at night.  While he's transitioning he's been sleeping for shorter stretches, but I think he's starting to get used to it.

We were doing tummy time and he just fell asleep!

Clothes: Size 3-6

Noah and his cousins (Matthew and Aiden) have the same hoodie... they look so cute!  Now we just have to get them in the same room so they can finally meet!

Social On Sunday, we went over to Grammy and Grandpa Flinn's house for dinner.  When we got there we took a super mini walk up and down the driveway.

Diet: Pumped Breast Milk and formula.

Baby Gear Love:  Noah has started using this new toy... he loves kicking the piano!

We used our Maclaren umbrella stroller on Thursday and loved it!

Crying:  When he is hungry, he can really cry!

Gifts:  Noah got to wear the hand knit hat that his Great Gram made for him... he looks so cute in it!

Now that the lockout is over, Noah got to wear the Montreal onesie that my cousin Elissa gave him months ago!  I'm so glad that Hockey came back before he outgrew it!

Likes:  Tummy time/playing on the floor with Mommy.

Noah loves Bath Time!

Milestones: On Saturday, we took Noah with us to the store for the first time.  We went to Babies R Us and then Taco Bell for a quick lunch.  He did great.

On Tuesday, we took Noah to the Short Hills Mall... once again he did great!

Postpartum:  Chris was home this week on "paternity leave".  It's been really nice having him home.  This week we've tackled a few projects that we had put on the back burner since Noah was born.

I love how Noah gives me such big hugs!
