Today I wanted to share with you some outfits that I've worn over the past month. When drafting this post, I have found that a lot of my favorite pieces have sold out and are no longer available online. This frustrates me since I purchased them this year (and this season) and would have loved to provide you with direct links for everything. So going forward I am going to try and photograph pieces as I buy them. That way, if you like a piece I share, you have a better chance in buying it for yourself before they are gone!
Girls Night Out
Back in September, when it still felt like Summer, I went out to dinner with some girlfriends. It was pleasant enough in the evenings to wear jeans, but warm enough that I didn't even need a sweater... and we sat outside until 10 pm! Definitely doesn't feel like that at night anymore!
Day at the Zoo
Some days a simple tee shirt and jeans is all you really need. I love how the leopard sneakers give the outfit a little extra something considering everything else is very simple.
Rainy Day
While most rainy days I just want to stay home in my sweatpants, that wasn't an option. Noah had swim class and we were meeting up with friends for lunch afterwards. I was then swinging by the grocery store on the way home. So I got dressed and threw a rain coat on. And I'm learning that wearing a blouse is as easy as wearing a t-shirt, so why not just go for it and look a little more put together :)
4 Year old Birthday Party
We had a weekend birthday party for one of Noah's friends. I was excited to wear my new plaid shirt and these black jeans are so comfortable it's as if I'm wearing leggings!
While I often wear statement necklaces, they don't go with everything. So I recently got the matching necklace for my favorite pair of Kendra Scott stud earrings. I've been wearing this set a lot lately!
An overcast day at Sesame Place
We were worried it might rain, but we took a chance and I'm so glad we did. While it was overcast, it wasn't too cold and it didn't end up raining while we were there :). I went for practical and comfort by wearing jeans, my quilted vest, sneakers, and a top knot. And here's real life for you... I forgot to take my phone out of my back pocket (where you'll usually find it) for these photos!
Some really nice October days
We lucked out at the beginning of the month and had some really mild, even warm days. I got away with jeans and a t-shirt and didn't even need to grab a coat! This is how you'll often find me on days where I'm just taking Noah to school and we may have a play date in the afternoon.
Sunday Brunch
We had planned to go to the farm, but because of the rain, we opted to go out to breakfast instead. While the rain wasn't heavy, it was definitely wet and chilly out. I just recently got this sweater poncho and I'm in love. I love the look of a poncho but hate how I can't easily carry a bag over my shoulder or wear a coat. This is the perfect combination since it has regular sleeves but is super loose and flowy like a poncho. I sized down in this sweater and got a medium.
While Sunday was a bust, Monday afternoon was beautiful. It was a little chilly and windy, but the sun was out making it easy to walk around without a coat. I got many compliments on this peplum shirt, and I'm so bummed that the striped version is sold out. You might get lucky by going to the actual store, or you could order the solid version (there's a few colors). When I know I'm going to need my hands, to take photos or carry heavy things like pumpkins and Noah ;), I make sure I bring my cross body bag! Now that Noah's older, I can get away with keeping a change of clothes in the car and really don't need to carry so much stuff anymore!
A trip to the mall
This fall I'm learning that I can easily wear a blouse instead of a t-shirt and that I love peplum!
All about comfort
And while I am trying to dress up more each day, sometimes you just need to wear some leggings! I love this floral pair that I just got from LuLaRoe. It was perfect for taking Noah to swim lessons and then spending the afternoon at home.

What is your Fall style looking like so far? Would you prefer if I posted pieces as I buy them instead of doing a monthly recap?

Oh man I kept saying oohh I like that, no that, no THAT all the way through the post lol. I think my favorites are anything plaid and the vest outfit. (I need a striped shirt to wear with mine.) Also that poncho sweater, which kind of surprised me. It looks amazing on you.
ReplyDeleteI really love your style. There has yet to be an outfit I don't like. The only thing you ever lose me on is hats :)
ReplyDeleteLove these outfits :)

I love all of your outfits, but my favorites are the quilted vest, the poncho and the black and white striped shirt. I am obsessed with white and black stripes right now.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfits! I love the loft buffalo plaid like top. Leopeard sneakers are next on my to buy list I think!
ReplyDeleteThe peplum tops are so cute on you! I have the Old Navy vest in green from two years ago and I wear it all. the. time! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteGreat outfits!! I love that Loft poncho. I haven't shopped there in ages because I feel like the store sucks and I hate spending so much to get free shipping online and not being able to try on the clothes. But they are having an amazing sale so I may need to check it out! I got a cute Lou and Grey top after Megan from Willow Crowns recommended it a couple months ago!
ReplyDeleteHow do you like that Kendra Scott necklace? Is it worth the price? I really want one but am having a hard time spending $80!
I love the LLR leggings and the quilted vest!
ReplyDeleteLeopard sneakers are such a fun way to liven up jeans and tees! I love all your LOFT tops but theyre either sold out or out of my size, wahhh! I can totally relate to the phone in the back pocket too haha.
