Graphic Tees | Mommy Style Remix

Graphic tees.  There's no denying that graphic tees have become very popular over the last few seasons.  From t-shirts to sweatshirts with images and cute sayings on them, they are everywhere!  While it's easy to look juvenile while wearing a graphic tee, it is possible to look age appropriate and stylish in them.  While I love the look, since it is a trend (and may not last another season) I opted for a more affordable option at Old Navy.  This way, even if I only wear the tank for one season, I will feel it was money well spent.  Pineapples are so in right now, so I figured it was hard to go wrong with this particular tank.  And others must have agreed, since it was the print that sold out first!  And to show you how versatile (and age appropriate) a graphic tee can be, I styled it for three different occasions... just hanging out, a day out and about, and for a night on the town.

pineapple tank - similar, another great option from ON | sunglasses | gold watch
chambray shorts | similar black maxi skirt | white jeans (more sizes offered in this style)
leather slides (in black) |  similar metallic sandals | similar nude wedges
cross body (in brown) | white bracelets | gold bracelet

My first look is when you need a super casual look.  You could wear this to the beach or pool as a coverup, to run some errands with the kids, or on a hot day at the amusement park (as I did when we went to Diggerland).  Nothing beats the combination of an elastic waist and a flowy tee... it's absolute comfort!  I am obsessed with these chambray shorts because who doesn't love an elastic waist that makes you look way more put together than wearing gym shorts!

^^^ I had to oblige to Chris' request for a Zoolander pose ;)

Next up, is a look that would be perfect for a day out.  You will look great no matter if you are running errands, meeting someone for lunch, or even sightseeing for the day.  It's comfortable, will keep you feeling cool, and is just the right amount of dressy for whatever is thrown your way!

And finally, I styled my graphic tank for a night out.  Chris and I rarely go anywhere that is super dressy, other than when we have a wedding to go to.  So for me, dressing up a pair of jeans with heels and some metallic jewelry is enough.  This would be great for a dinner date or a summer concert!

^^^ Noah wanted in on my photo shoot and was very interested in the bracelet that he recently picked out for me :)  As much as he's into superheroes, he also has a really good eye for pretty jewelry!

Are you a fan of graphic tees?  How will you wear one this Summer???

  6. Friend!!!! Love that pineapple tee!! And I love all of the different ways that you paired it. I would have never thought to pair a graphic tee with a long skirt, but I totally dig it!! Also, I need those chambray shorts in my life.

  9. It is SO TRUE that graphic tees can go chic or overboard, which makes them hard to style, but you did awesome! Love this fun pineapple tee, and how you dressed it up and down. That date night look is amazing!! Makes me regret giving away my black maxi skirt during a dramatic purge a year ago...

  11. You knocked this remix out of the park. Love how you have dressed it up and down - I don't think I could pick a favorite look! TOTALLY age-appropriate and so much more interesting and fun than just a plain tee - and given that I included a pineapple tee in my roundup last week, you know I love this one :)
