$10 at Target

Happy Monday!  This past weekend we headed down to Delaware for a friend's wedding and made a weekend out of it.  While I plan to recap our weekend getaway later this week, today I'm linking up with the $10 at Target for the second time. I love the concept, and after following along for quite a few months, I knew I had to join in.  A few of my blogging friends (Becky at bybmg, Beth at Our Pretty Little Girls, Courtney at Sweet Turtle Soup, Elizabeth at Chasin' Mason, Stephanie at Wife Mommy Me) host it and many of my other friends link up each month.   While I must admit that I am physically unable to go to Target and only spend $10, here are a few things that I picked up "just for me" during my most recent trip.  Not only did I find some cute things in the Dollar Section but I gave myself some time to peruse the beauty aisles (something I rarely get to do!).

First up, the Dollar Section...

all found in the Dollar Section!

After seeing so many of my friends score the cutest stationery from the Dollar Section, I was thrilled when my Target filled their stock of pretty cards.  Here are two of my favorites... flamingos are just so in right now and Noah just happens to love them too!  I also finally decided to jump on the adult coloring book bandwagon.  These 3 items comprised a little less than half of my $10 budget.. not bad for all this cuteness!

Next up is my beauty find...

Since I have sensitive skin, I started off wearing Clinique as a teenager and was a pretty loyal fan for quite a while.  I still have a few of their products but have added many Bare Minerals products to my favorites.  But since watching more makeup tutorials, I have learned of some great drug store products.  This has really helped me follow some of the newest trends while not breaking the bank.  During this trip, I found this Maybelline lipstick in Pink Wink and I love it!  For me, it's the perfect pop of pink when I want a lip that stands out just a little.  Many would view this as a neutral, but since I'm relatively new to wearing much more than Chapstick, it's perfect for me!

After getting my adult coloring book, I quickly realized I needed some markers!  We have oodles of crayons and paint around the house for Noah, but not a lot of markers!  I asked some friends for recommendations and Crystal told me she used the thin point Sharpies and loved them.  I immediately ordered these using Amazon Prime... gotta love fast and free shipping!  As soon as they arrived, I made time for a little late night coloring session.  I've just begun, but I think I'm hooked!

So tell me, what are some of your most recent Target finds?

  10. Oh Dollar Spot. Sucks me in every time as well.
I love that coloring book you got and you know, I'd NEVER think to use sharpie markers to color with (do they bleed??) but it looks so good and now that you mention it, I bet they are perfect for coloring in such small spaces!

  15. Great finds! That lipstick looks gorgeous on you. Do you love the pens for the adult coloring books? I love how bold and rich the colors are. And the thin point makes it easier to color within the lines!
