Now to tell you how I ended up going to Target all on my own! On Saturday, I had a bridal shower to go to down in Princeton. One of my good friend's from college is getting married next month. While I've remained friends with these 3 girls from college (photo below), we don't get to see each other as much as we used to. I can't believe that it's almost 10 years since we graduated from the University of Delaware! I really appreciate that no matter how much time has passed, we make sure to show up for the big stuff!
Since I was going to be gone most of the day (50 minute drive there, 4 hour shower, 50 minutes back), Chris made plans for his parents to come over for lunch and to play with Noah. It was a nice treat to get all dolled up (full makeup, curled hair, a dress and heels) and spend the afternoon with some of my girlfriends! I knew Noah was in good hands, so I decided that after the shower, I'd swing by the Target that was only 5 minutes away. I recently ordered some swimsuits from Target and while I kept two (paisley, black), one of them just didn't fit right. It was a really cute black & white polka dot retro style suit, but it just didn't fit well in the chest area. Noah was in love with the polka dots and literally had a melt down when he saw me putting it back in the bag to return. Who knew 3 year old boys had such strong opinions on bathing suits (or such a love for polka dots)?!? Anyway, I decided that it would be best to return it on my own as to avoid a possible second meltdown in Target. Once I made my quick return, I was able to walk through the store without Noah rushing me or begging for another toy.

While I was away, Noah was in grandparent heaven. They all went to our neighborhood playground, played some soccer in our yard, and Noah even showed them his stomp rocket (though I'm told he didn't let them try it out themselves). Then they played board game after board game with him before heading home. It's so nice to be able to leave for the day knowing he's having a blast with his dad and grandparents.
