Even though Valentine's Day is still a month away, I couldn't help but add a few red and pink touches around the house. When I decorate for a holiday, I like to enjoy it for at least a month. And since Noah loves the festive decor, I figured it wasn't too early to start. I kept the decor to a minimum, sticking primarily to the dining room this year. I also brought out the Valentine's Day themed books and stuffed animals and let Noah put some window clings on our front door. Noah is also a huge fan of the Dove chocolate hearts I put out... not sure if they will last til February 14th! His favorite part so far though is definitely the little breakfast/tea party he had with his stuffed friends. It was beyond adorable... especially when he sang them a song on his guitar!
garland is from PBKids but no longer online | large "urn", pitcher, and cake stand are from Home Goods | heart dish was a free gift from Crate & Barrel when we registered | mirror is West Elm (discontinued) | buffet
In addition to bringing some red, pink, and love into our house, I've also started searching for Valentine fashion. I picked up a couple of shirts for Noah (since he loves a good graphic tee) and couldn't help browsing the girl section as well! And while we will probably spend Valentine's Day at home, I loved how the blouses don't SCREAM Valentine's Day, but their delicate and flowy style would be perfect for a nice dinner out.
And while Noah definitely has enough stuff, I can't help but want to get him a few holiday inspired goodies. I think we will just stick to a book and some chocolate this year, but I really can't get over how cute this astronaut stuffed animal is! I did however get a festive plate and cup for him to use over the next month, and as you saw above, he's already had some fun adding some gel clings to our front door :) Target right now is killing it in the holiday decor. Their stuff is so affordable and would look awesome if you were having a little Valentine's Day party!
How do you celebrate Valentine's Day? Do you decorate, give gifts, and/or go out with your significant other?
I love the Valentine's decor you have - especially that adorable heart banner. I'm with you - I like to get at least a month out of decorations. Target definitely has lots of cute stuff for V-Day right now. I grabbed a few things last week, but I need to go back for more... fingers crossed it's not all gone!
ReplyDeleteGreat decor! I like to have my decorations out for a little while too. Not too long that I get tired of it, but love enough to really enjoy it. And those Dove hearts wouldn't last long in this house. Yum! I need to get to Target ASAP for some cute Valentine's items.
ReplyDeleteLove your heart banner! I'm planning to stop at Target and Crate & Barrel tomorrow to snatch up some fun decor items. Crate & Barrel is killing it right now!
ReplyDeleteI love that bubble XOXO! I clicked on the link and it looks like there are other V-Day themed ones as well! So cute.
ReplyDeleteOh I love that banner so much, it is like Valentines banner perfection. I don't usually decorate for valentines very much but I am really getting the itch to this year!
