Friday Five

Happy Friday!  After a crazy busy weekend, it was nice to get back to normal (if that even exists)!  We spent the first part of the week celebrating Noah's birthday (it never seems to end).  Noah stopped napping about 10 days ago, so we are still trying to figure out what our new routine will be.  Hope you have a great weekend and enjoy my Friday Five in the meantime :)

While we celebrated Noah's birthday on Sunday, we still made sure he felt special on Monday (his actual birthday).  My mom and I took Noah to Toys R Us.  They gave him a birthday crown and balloon :)  He received a few toys that he already had, so we went to return them and let Noah pick out a few new things.  He was wanting so many toys that we eventually had to say he'd have to ask Santa for it.  We told him we'd take a picture of the toy and text Santa letting him know.  It really worked and Noah didn't get upset over not being able to buy the toy right then and there :)

I shared on Instagram, that one of our birthday traditions is to measure Noah on our growth chart.  It's been great to watch him grow and I love having this keepsake!  We got ours on easy, but my SIL just made her own and she said it wasn't that hard :)    I also have to mention the shirt Noah is wearing!  I saw it online at Gap earlier this Fall (it's no longer online) and knew I had to get it since it's the name of my blog!  It was totally meant to be!

While Noah was home for his actual birthday, he was able to celebrate at school the next day.  We made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for him to bring in for snack.  He got a birthday crown to wear and I got to go in at the end of school and read a book to his class.  Noah chose Digger, Dozer, Dumper, which is a great book, just a little long and I found the boys liked it way more than the girls ;)

This week, Noah and I did a paper bag lion craft.  I found this kit on Amazon and got it for Noah for his birthday.  He loved making it and wanted to make more right away.  While they were super fun, I told him we could only make one a day :)

I also want to wish my niece a very happy 8th birthday this weekend!  She's the one who made me an aunt and it's been a pleasure to watch her grow into a beautiful young lady!

I'm linking up with The Farmer's Wife and September Farm for "Oh Hey Friday"!

I'm also linking up with A. Liz Adventures for "Five on Friday".

  1. My gosh that boy was spoiled for his birthday! What a lucky little dude! Birthday family celebrations, actual birthday celebrations, and then school celebrations! I'm super jealous! So glad you guys had such a fun week celebrating!

  2. I just found your blog through Chasin' Mason and I am excited to start following along! My daughter's 2nd birthday is next Friday and my nephew's 4th birthday is next Saturday so this post is getting me excited to celebrate those two little peanuts :)

  3. That Noah sure knows how to celebrate! He's going to be like me and have a Birthday Month when he gets older! He's a cutie pie. Glad he had a great birthday!

  4. Can I tell you that I know exactly how busy your weekend was? I'm still exhausted. I didn't know that you could get a crown and a balloon from TRU or I would have gotten one for C when we went on Monday!

  5. Those paper bag puppets are the cutest! Sounds like an amazing week. How the weekend is as awesome! :))

  6. What a fun day for your little, Noah! Oh and that paper bag lion craft is so cool. I'll have to check it out! Thanks for sharing! :)
