Fri-Yay!

Happy Friday!  This week was kind of bizarre for us.  Chris was off on Monday because of Columbus Day, had a shorter day on Tuesday because of his work picnic (which I think is super weird to have in October!), and he took off today so we could go visit friends this weekend.  This week flew by and I feel like we were going non stop between school, swim, and all the other random stuff we needed to get done.  Hopefully I can feel a little more relaxed and back to our normal schedule next week.  Have a fabulous weekend and enjoy my "Five on Friday"...

ONE

This week, Noah had a Harvest Day at preschool.  Technically it was on a day where he doesn't go to school, so they invited his class to come with their parents.  They had a bunch of animals (a sheep, a goat, a baby cow, bunnies, guinea pigs, chicks, chickens, ducks, and a turkey!) from the farm to feed and pet.  Noah wasn't interested in feeding the goats the last time we went to the zoo, but he was really into it this time!  I could tell he was a little nervous, but he "faced his fear" and pet the sheep, the bunnies, and the chicks.  It was so cute to watch him so excited about all the animals!

TWO

Since we will be staying with friends this weekend, I've been searching Pinterest for ideas to bring as a hostess gift.  I really like the idea of baking something and using this cute printable :)

THREE

I've always loved puzzles and games like Tetris.  I recently found this game 1010 for my iPhone.  It's easy to learn and super fun to get better at.

FOUR

Last week was my dad's birthday.  In addition to a few regular gifts, Noah made my dad a gift as well.  I found some letter stickers at Target and made a heart using some painter's tape.  Noah then picked out Papa's favorite colors and painted all over the paper.  I was really happy with how it turned out after I removed all the stickers.  Papa said it was his favorite gift :)

FIVE

I used to have a "rule" that Noah only got to have a bandaid if there was blood.  Then a few weeks ago, he talked one of us into giving him a few bandaids for no real reason.  He said his legs were hurting, and if I had to guess, he was having growing pains.  Well two weeks later and he is still adamant about having bandaids on his legs.  He had a major meltdown when they fell off at swim class and we couldn't replace them fast enough.  Every time I tell him it's time for a bath or shower he says no because "bandaids hurt".  I have to remind them that it won't hurt his bandaids and if they come off we can get new ones.  We rotate between Bubble Guppies (which we are almost out of and can't find more), Thomas the Train, and Ninja Turtles.  I can't wait until we can get over the bandaid obsession!

I'm linking up with The Farmer's Wife and September Farm for "Oh Hey Friday"!

I'm also linking up with A. Liz Adventures for "Five on Friday".

  3. I'm strict on the band aids too. We actually have bubble guppy tattoos that Reed won't use because he hates tattoos. If you want to try those to see if Noah will wear that instead of a bandaid, shoot me your address and I'll mail ours to you.

  4. Connor will not wear a band-aid. Even if he truly needs one. After his flu shot last week, he wouldn't let the nurse put one on. Freak out!

  10. Mason was the total opposite when he was that age. He was terrified of bandaids. He wouldn't even let the nurse put them on after his shots. Now he randomly asks for them for no reason. lol. The Harvest day at school looks fun! Adorable pictures!!
