Pizza Making!

Last week, Noah and I went to a fun activity with our MOMS Club.  My friend had arranged for our group to go to the Macaroni Grill and have the kids make their own pizzas.  She had done this for her son's 3rd birthday party and knew the kids would enjoy it.  While technically the restaurant was open to the public, since we got there right when they opened (at 11 am) it was empty most of the time we were there.  They set us up in the back corner, with one table for the kids to color on (and then later eat at) and another for the kids to "decorate" their pizzas.

Noah is a huge fan of pizza and loves making pizzas on his iPad "Pizza Making app", so I thought this would be right up his alley!  But when it was time to actually make them, he was adamant against putting sauce on his pizza.  He just wanted to put mozzarella cheese on it and eat the uncooked dough.  Instead, they brought him out some ricotta cheese and I helped him make a white pizza.  He also got pretty annoyed when I took the pizza away to be cooked.

My friend was smart and brought a small parachute for the kids to play with while we waited for the pizzas to cook.  The kids LOVED it!

Noah kept asking for his pizza, but when it came out he wouldn't even try it!  I guess it didn't look like a normal pizza to him.  I guess he should have listened to me when I suggested putting sauce and cheese on it ;)  I had a few pieces and it was really yummy... his loss.  While I expected Noah to get super into this activity, we still had a fun morning.  If you have a Macaroni Grill near you, it's a fun and pretty affordable activity (only $7 per kid to make and eat their pizza with a drink included!).  And by the way, this is in no way a sponsored post, I personally just think it's a cool thing they offer.

  6. How fun! And that parachute just takes me right back to my childhood. They busted one out at the library story time recently, and Liam loved it!
