Fri-Yay!

Whew, what a week!  I feel like we were going nonstop... doing fun stuff, but busy nonetheless.  It was super hot at the beginning of the week, so we stayed inside during the day and waited to go outside until after dinner.  Thankfully, it's now back in the mid 80s and we can enjoy some time outside.  Chris took today off and we are spending the day at Sesame Place!  We also have a busy weekend full of birthday parties!  Have a great weekend :)

ONE

Yesterday, Noah and I went to the beach with our weekly playgroup.  Our friend's parents have a beach house and invited us down for the day.  We packed some sand toys and snacks and spent the morning by the water.  We got perfect weather and I learned Noah is a fan of the sand, but not going in the water.  He was totally happy to just dig in the sand the whole time!

TWO

This is the first time I took Noah to the beach on my own.  I was nervous how I was going to bring all the gear down AND Noah all on my own.  So when I say this Tommy Bahama beach cart on major sale (half the cost than it is on Amazon) at Costco, I knew I had to get it!  It was such a life saver!

THREE

On Sunday, I shared on Facebook that Zulily had a Paw Patrol Collection.  Their sales don't last long, so I doubt if anything is still available, but we were able to pick out a few cute things.

FOUR

It was pretty hot here earlier this week.  We went to our neighborhood pool twice... once with my parents and another time with Chris' parents.  When we took Nonna and Granddad, they brought pizza so we could eat dinner before swimming.  Chris then met us at the pool after work.  Noah LOVES swimming and jumping!

FIVE

While my summer is very kid oriented, I can't help but LOVE the new Maroon 5 song "This Summer's Gonna Hurt Like A Mother"!  Whenever I hear it I picture myself on a boat with a cocktail.  Not like I had those kind of summers even before Noah, but it's nice to daydream ;)

I'm linking up with The Farmer's Wife and September Farm for "Oh Hey Friday"!

I'm also linking up with A. Liz Adventures for "Five on Friday".

  1. What's so funny to me is that Connor was obsessed with Paw Patrol last year, around his birthday and at Christmas but since then, he has discovered Marvel Heroes and is ridiculously in love with each and everyone of them. It's a bit much to have to remember all their names and their powers.

  2. That picture of Noah with that beach cart... why does he look 12?! My gosh. These kids are growing up too fast! Time slow down!
PS how fun is the beach!!! I love it! And go you for taking him all on your own!

  3. Totally need to get one of those carts!!!! So interesting Noah loves the pool water but is apprehensive at the beach. I guess the ocean is a bit intimidating for sure! Paw Patrol! Lily loves their theme song. ;)

  5. That beach cart looks like a great idea. I always find it such a pain trying to drag everything I need to the beach that I'm exhausted by the time I get there. What a great solution!
