Five on Friday

Happy Friday!  I'll keep this short and sweet because Noah's cousins are currently visiting us (and my parents) and we are going non stop with fun activities for the kids!  Hope you all have a fun weekend and enjoy my usual "Friday Five"...

As most moms will understand, it can sometimes be hard to keep a toddler entertained while trying to make dinner.  Noah loves to bring his trucks into the kitchen, but then I have to be super aware in order to not trip and hurt myself!  I much prefer when Noah plays with the magnets on our dishwasher.  It keeps him entertained for quite a while :)

I ordered this dress from Old Navy in flaming tulip (shown) and black.  I ordered it in tall so that it hits my knee (my preferred length) instead of how it's shown in the picture.  I have the sleeveless version in blue and find the length is good for a beach/pool coverup, but not for everyday wear.

I've made these apple zucchini muffins multiple times, but this was the first time I made them as mini muffins as well.  The last two times I had made the muffins (that used to be Noah's favorite), Noah wouldn't eat them.  When a friend of mine was visiting, she brought over some mini corn muffins and Noah was inhaling them.  I decided to try making these as mini muffins to see if it would help, and it did!!!  I made them without muffin liners by spraying this pan with cooking spray.  They turned out great, but I was having a little trouble getting them in and out of the oven since the pan was floppy.  I've since ordered a new "regular" mini muffin pan :)

Yesterday, we went to Hershey Park with my parents and my brother & his family.  Since we planned to spend some time at the water section of the park, we bought these waterproof cases to wear around our neck and hold our phones and money.

Super random, but I'm told my name (well at least the version without an h) is no longer "liked".  It's on the list for "The Decade's Fastest Dropping Baby Names".   Not that I've ever felt like it was a SUPER popular name, but apparently it peaked in 1985 (a year after I was born) and now it doesn't even make it in the top 250.... oh well!

I'm linking up with The Farmer's Wife and September Farm for "Oh Hey Friday"!

I'm also linking up with April's blog for their Five on Friday!

  1. love that dress...I usually order tall too so they're a bit longer, especially in the shirts! Those muffins look so yummy.

  2. I love the muffins look so good :) Chelsea @

  3. Haha! You know, I bet if I looked up my name, it would be non existent anymore. It was SO popular when I was born and then now nobody has "normal" names like Elizabeth, Jessica, Jennifer, etc anymore. Oh well! We're unique now :)

  4. I love that baby name list! I'm totally obsessed with names and trends. Don't worry Megan, my name is not anywhere near to top ten either haha

  5. Stephanie was like it name in 1981 1982 and 1983 and even worse Stephanie Ann is like the most common combination. I'm just a bit jaded.
