Weekend Photos

Chris has been home with us since Thursday afternoon... I always love the long weekends!  He came home early on Thursday because of the snow and then decided to take Friday off, just because.  On Friday, Chris came with us to Wompy's (music class).

^^^ yup, someone sits in the back with Noah when we go out together... we are those super lame parents!

After class, we ran some errands and then went to lunch at McDonalds.  After my birthday lunch fiasco and not getting a Shamrock Shake, I was super excited when this location had them!

^^^ Noah's 1st Shamrock Shake!

Noah fell asleep on the way home and I was able to transfer him to his crib easily.  Chris and I talked about taking him out to play in the snow when he woke up.  However, he woke up with a really runny nose so we decided to keep him inside.  Instead, we cuddled on the couch and took silly family selfies!

Noah was so excited to play with Daddy when he woke up on Saturday. They did play-doh, went in the basement, and even played with the slinky on the stairs!

^^^ Noah hasn't been wanting to wear PJs to bed recently.  He gets really upset if I try to put them on him and instead he wants to wear just a t-shirt and sweats.  They are comfy so who really cares!

^^^ Noah found a new seat on the couch... I'm sure the arm rest is super comfy!

Saturday morning, we headed out to the mall to do some returns.  My mom gave me some placemats at Crate & Barrel and some sweaters from Loft.  I wanted to exchange the placemats for a different color and the sweaters didn't fit right, so I exchanged them for some different tops.  Since we were over there, we had to have lunch at Chipotle.  I was a little bummed they didn't have my usual carnitas, but the shredded steak in my bowl was super yummy too!

This weekend I noticed Noah talking so much more!  I guess he's going through a language explosion.  He's repeating everything we say and I was impressed with how many things he could identify when we were reading one of those 100 things books.  He's also starting to form 2-3 word sentences.  I'm also so happy that in addition to being the cutest kid, he's also super polite...

As we do most Sunday mornings, we went to Open Gym at Gymboree as a family.  It was super crowded!  I can't wait for Spring so that we can just go to the playground instead!  We then came home and had grilled cheese for lunch, had a bath (I like to get Noah cleaned off after Gymboree), and down for a nap.

We of course changed our clocks on Saturday night.  So far it seems like Noah is adjusting well.  He went to bed at 8:30 like normal, and since he normally wakes up around 6 am, I wasn't surprised when he woke up at 7 am (considering the time change).  While I would love for him to go back to sleeping in later, I really don't want his bedtime to be any later than 8:30 right now.  So I kept his nap exactly the same... 1 pm.   While his body may have felt like it was noon, he fell asleep no problem.

Chris' parents came over in the afternoon.   We got Chinese for dinner and my birthday was celebrated one final time.  Noah showed them his new roller coaster, his mad skills at "look and find" books, and wowed them with his new words!  We once again played "hide and go seek" (video) and Noah will now cover his eyes and count with us... it was so cute!  He hasn't really grasped the whole hiding part though... it's pretty easy to find him just by following the sound of his little "hi's" he's saying from his hiding spot ;)

  4. Thankfully Mason adjusted pretty well to daylight savings time too. (knock on wood). He woke up around 7am, instead of 6am, and took his nap at the normal time for the normal amount of time. Then he went to bed a little late since we were out celebrating Seth's birthday and then I had to wake him up Monday morning because he still wanted to sleep. This morning he was back to normal! I on the other hand am soooo tired lol
