The Flinn Cousins' Party

Every year around Christmas, we get together with the Flinn side of the family.  Chris' dad is the oldest of 8 kids, and as I mentioned here, there are 17 grandkids and 3 great grandkids. This year it was at Chris' Aunt Colleen's house in Union City, NJ.  Their house has a pretty amazing view of the NYC skyline... I really should have taken a picture of it!

We drove in with Chris' parents and when we first walked in, Noah was definitely a little overwhelmed by the amount of people.  He not only wanted to be held but he kept his head on my shoulder.  After saying hi to a lot of people, he finally lifted his head when we were talking to his Great Gram and she mentioned her cane.  Noah LOVES playing with her collapsible cane... it's endless entertainment!  From then on, he was walking around and eating bread and as many strawberries as we'd give him.  Uncle Justin then arrived with Louie and Noah had fun playing with him.  It was so cute when Louie licked Noah's shirt and he thought it was too funny and kept pointing to the spot!

Noah had fun playing with his cousin (their parents are cousins) Jerry.  We gave Jerry some Mega Bloks for Christmas and Noah had fun showing him how to make towers.  Since Jerry is a year younger (I posted about his baptism earlier this year), he preferred to just kick them across the wood floors since they made a cool sound ;)

Being one of the few great grandkids, Noah gets lots of gifts from his great aunts/uncles.  Noah definitely loves the attention and loves tearing open the wrapped gifts even more!

We were also reminded that kids can have just as much (or more) fun with a cardboard box than the actual toy!

Since we moved away from all my aunts, uncles, and cousins when I was only 6, I am super impressed that they continue to do this every year.  It's a lot of fun and a tradition I hope lasts.
