It's The Little Things | Toronto Part 2 (After the Wedding)

While we flew up specifically for Luke & Tyler's Wedding, we decided to stay an extra day so we could visit some family nearby.  Saturday morning, we started the day off with breakfast at the hotel.  Both my brother, David, and my sister, Sarah, were flying home that day, so it was nice to see them one last time.  This trip really threw Noah off his schedule.  Not only did he take super short naps and stayed up later than he should have, but he wasn't really interested in eating much this trip.  We would offer him his favorites at almost every meal.  Sometimes he'd inhale fruit, and other times (like at breakfast) he barely ate a bite!  I'm glad to be back home and back on our normal schedule!

We went to say goodbye to Luke & Tyler as well, and got to see their super nice suite :)  They left for Costa Rica on Monday morning.

After we said our goodbyes, we headed out to lunch with my parents.  We went to Jack Astor's since we heard it was super kid friendly.  While Noah still wasn't interested in eating, they did have a great set up with crayons to color on the tablecloth, a mini chalkboard to take home, and some festive mustache straws!

We then drove out to Niagara-on-the-Lake to visit some of my dad's family.  This was the first time Noah met them.  In retrospect we probably should have just laid low after the 2 super busy days, especially since Noah hadn't napped much.  He slept in the car but woke up soon after and didn't seem comfortable in his car seat.  So we pulled over and let him sleep on me for a while.  Thankfully my parents are super understanding and accommodating with getting Noah what he needs.

Once we made it to my aunt's house, Noah got to meet my cousin's kids.  She has a 4 and a 2 year old (the 2 year old is only a week older than Noah!).  They were really cute together playing with my mom's phone.  My cousin's daughter warmed up to me fast and kept wanting to sit on my lap.  I could tell Noah was getting a little jealous of another baby taking his mommy!  We left after the kids started to "lose it" and fight over a blanket!  Noah fell asleep in the car on the way home.  The drive should have only been an hour and a half, but in the last 5 miles of the trip, there was major traffic because of a huge accident.  We were stuck in traffic for an hour... another late night!

Since we had some crazy days and we were flying out that afternoon, we decided to take it easy Sunday morning.  We ordered room service... french toast for us and a fruit plate for Noah.  He loved being able to watch Bubble Guppies while eating :) We were putting the leftover fruit in a to go container for later.  Noah thought it was more fun to just play with the fruit and wanted to fill the container up even more.  There was an unpeeled orange that he asked Chris to peel for him.  Chris asked him "Am I wasting my time?" (since he knew he wasn't going to eat it and instead just put it in the container) and Noah just answered "Yeah".  It was so funny and honest and we said it was the line of the trip!

Then it was off to the airport for our flight home.  Noah was a great traveller the entire trip.  I was so impressed with how he did, especially since we threw off his schedule so many times and expected him to behave so well with little sleep!  We ended the trip with another great flight.  I thought he might sleep on the plane since it was around his nap time, but he was too excited!  Instead, he fell asleep as soon as we got on the shuttle to get our car.  He transferred from the stroller, to the car, to the crib with no problem... he was exhausted!
