Christmas PJs and Books | Mommy & Me Book Exchange

Last year, we started the tradition of 25 Days of Christmas Books!  Every night, Noah would open a book and we would read it to him.  This year, we are doing this in addition to a traditional advent calendar.  We had most of the books from last year, but we did add a few new ones this year.  We ordered the new "Little Blue Truck's Christmas" book, my mom picked up a few, and I even found one in the Target dollar bin section!

We are about a third of the way through, and Noah is really loving it.  During the week, he opens them before bed, but on the weekends we let him open it before nap (since Chris is home).  The part I like the best, is that once it's opened, we continue to read the book many times the following days.  I love that Noah enjoys to read!

This year, I participated in a Secret Santa Mommy and Me Book Exchange.  Jess and Abbie (from Being Mrs Beer) sent us these beautifully wrapped books for Noah and myself.  They were waiting for us when we got back from Toronto.  I opened mine that night and had Noah open his the next day.

Jess got Noah Dig In and he LOVED it!  He loves construction trucks so it was a hit right away.  Then there are moving parts on the inside, so it was even better!

Jess gave me Amy Poehler's new book, Yes Please, and I can't wait to read it!

Head on over to Hall Around Texas to see which books we gave Crystal and Mason!

  1. How fun! We're doing the 25 Days of Christmas Books too and we have a lot of the same ones that you do. Mason LOVES them. We don't have that Trim the Tree'ers so I might have to look into it because it looks cute!
The books you and Noah got from the exchange were awesome as well! Mason loves the digging type/construction books too and the Dig In one looks awesome!

  2. We have a lot of the same books for the Christmas book countdown!! Including the dollar nook finds in Target. If you are looking for a new one for next year you should check out An Otis Christmas, I think it might be Aria's fave.
Dig In sounds like a great book, I bet Aria would love it too, she loves diggers and I love how excited Noah is to get it!! so cute, love his shirt too..old navy right? I think I've seen it there haha.
