Christmas Breakfast and Gift Exchange

Last week, we hosted a Christmas Breakfast & Gift Exchange with some friends from our old town.  I invited a bunch of our friends to a potluck breakfast at our house.  I told them to have their kids come in their Christmas PJs and we would also do a little gift exchange between the kids as well.  I am a huge fan of all things Christmas, kids wearing festive PJs, and having people over, so it was a no brainer to host this Christmas Breakfast.  I kept the table simple, with a red tablecloth and some festive platters ready for the dishes everyone was bringing.  I also set a kids' table using the Pottery Barn Kids Christmas plates we have.

I made these apple zucchini muffins and we also had an egg and sausage casserole, banana bread, bagels, and some fruit.  Everything was delicious and the kids had so much fun playing while the moms got to eat and chat.

Then it was time to do the gift exchange.  I had everyone put their gifts on the stairs so the kids couldn't get to them early ;)  The kids were so good and everyone went home with a really cute toy!  I also made sure to get a group photo before everyone went home.  We were missing one of Noah's friends since he was not interested in posing for a photo, but that is expected when working with a bunch of 2 year olds!

I love seeing all the kids' Christmas pajamas.  I am a sucker for holiday pajamas and Noah has 5 sets this year (at least it's less than his 7 pairs last year!).  We participated in the Christmas Pajama Party last year as well, and it's so fun to see all the kids in their jammies... make sure to check it out!

  1. Such a cute idea. I love that pic of all of them sitting at the table and then the one sitting on the couch opening presents. They look like a very well-behaved group of little boys!
