It's The Little Things - Play Date at our New House :)

On Monday, we hosted a play date for the 2012 babies from the MOMS Club from our previous town.   We had it at our house and it was the first time that many of my mommy friends had seen the new house.  We had a pretty good turn out... 4 moms and 5 kids (all boys!) came to play :)

I put out some fruit, cheese & crackers, and some other snacks to munch on while the kids played.  I brought the shopping cart, pirate ship, and second vacuum cleaner up from the basement.  All three of those toys were a huge hit!  It was a little cloudy when people arrived, and the deck was kind of wet from the storm the night before.  When the sun came out I offered to set up the water table for the kids to play in, but they all seemed happy to stay inside and play with the toys.  It gave us moms a chance to eat and chat.  Of course, right at the very beginning, Noah was distracted by all the visitors, and he fell going down the one step into the living room.  It was like I saw him do it in slow motion, face first onto the wood floor, but couldn't do anything to stop it!  He cried and had a huge red bump on his forehead, but he recovered quickly.

^^^ Organic animal crackers, Veggie straws, and goldfish pretzels for the kids.  Chocolate covered almonds for the adults ;)

^^^ cheese and crackers and some fruit

  1. What a fun date & so sweet of you to host! My playgroup safe mostly outside since it's summer, but come winter it will be back to people's houses. Not sure if I am ready to open my doors to the chaos yet!

  3. How Fun! I always get so jealous reading about Mom Groups. There is nothing like that around here!
That was a lot of boys in one house- I can't imagine the noise :)

  4. You had me at chocolate covered almonds, sign me up for the next one! Too bad he took a tumble. Hate those, and always slow motion when you can't do a thing about it.
