Five on Friday

We had a pretty good week over here.  We've made some progress with Noah's sleeping and we spent the majority of our days outside :)  We have a lot planned for the weekend and I'm excited for it to start!  Make sure to check out DarciAprilChristina and Natasha's blogs for their super popular Five on Friday link up!

One

Tomorrow, we are driving to Pennsylvania to get together with some friends of mine from college.  Since graduating, there have been weddings and babies, and we try to make an effort to get together once in a while.  We are all pretty good at attending the big events, but I especially like when we get together for "no reason" and really get to sit around and catch up.

Two

The Fault In Our Stars comes out today and I'm super excited to go see it.  I read the book and loved it (and cried like a baby)!  A friend of mine are going to see it Tuesday afternoon and I think I should pack some extra tissues!  Recently I've been watching a bunch of talk shows with Shailene Woodley doing press for the movie.  She seems like a really cool person, even if she does eat clay.  She's well spoken and the way she describes this movie/book is way smarter than I ever could.  It's a cancer book/movie that's not about cancer.

Three

We recently got this organizer for the back seat of our car.  Noah's toys were really starting to take over.  We corralled the toys and vacuumed up all the goldfish crackers and now the back seat is looking nice again :)

Four

We use the Britax B-Agile Stroller.  We used it with the car seat adapter until Noah was 6 months old, then switched to the Peg Perego stroller, and started using it again about 2 months ago.  So I was super bummed when the straps used to recline the seat were broken causing one side to constantly recline.  It put Noah in a really funky position!  I called Britax and they immediately said they would send a replacement backing.  I was reluctant, wishing they were gonna send a replacement stroller, but the instructions were pretty easy and I was able to replace the seat all on my own with Noah's "help".

There's a new social media app called Pippit.  It's a way to see blogs, pictures, and videos all in one place.  I haven't really figured it out yet, but I've created a profile and have my blog linked up to it.  Let me know if you are a user so I can follow you.  And make sure to follow me @megflinn!

  1. I think I'll be avoiding that movie just because I know I'd cry like a baby. Never my favourite type of movie. Book, occasionally...but I like my movies happy. I hope you enjoy it as much as the book.
I was so adamant about not letting Aria eat in the car, but we've been kind of blurring that rule lately. So I'm thinking a nice vacuum is in order. I just hate smooshed food in the carseat, it's a bummer. At least the changing of the part wasn't hard!

  2. You'll have to let's us know what you think about pippit once you have it longer. I'm holding off for now since I definitely don't need another form of social media (my Facebook is this close to being deleted) and think it's ridiculous that it's a paid app! I'll be interested to see if it takes off!

  6. We have an organizer like that between our two boys' car seats and it really does help to keep things somewhat under control. I'm bummed about your stroller! We have a Britax car seat and LOVE it, so I'm totally surprised, but I'm glad they sent you a replacement seat. Though really I think they should have sent a replacement stroller. Have a great weekend!
