Weekend Recap

We had a pretty great weekend.  I feel like we had a nice combination of planned activities and relaxing at home.  On Saturday, we had Noah's swim class in the morning.  Noah usually loves going in with Chris, but for some reason he started crying when he got in the water and wanted me.  I didn't have my swim suit, so we brought him out of the water to sit with me while the class did their first few songs in the super shallow area.  Thankfully, Noah then warmed up and wanted to go in with Chris.  He had fun the rest of class.  I however have decided I should bring my bathing suit from now on "just in case".

After swim, we went for walk around town.  We stopped at the bank and then at the playground.  The weather was AMAZING out and I'm so glad we went out to enjoy it!

We got home, had lunch, and then Noah (and I) napped.  Noah's "Half" Birthday was on Friday, but since Chris had to work late, we "celebrated" on Saturday.  I picked him up a cupcake from a local bakery.  We cut it in half (which makes it super hard to stay standing), put a candle on it, and sang Noah Happy Birthday.  He loved it… and he loved the cake too!

I then headed out to take some pictures for a friend of mine.  Their son (Noah's friend) will be 2 this month, so she wanted some pictures of him and her family.  We went to the arboretum in town and ended up getting some pretty good shots.

Once we finished up, I picked up Chris and Noah and we all went out to dinner at The Famished Frog. Noah loved eating popcorn and his Strawberry Smoothie!   It's funny eating out with kids… we got there at 5 PM and we were home by 6:30!  Very different from our Saturday nights pre Noah.

On Sunday, we had no real plans, and I loved it!  Chris let me sleep in again while he played with Noah.  Noah had a rough night and we think it's because he's starting to get his 2 year molars… oh yay :/  After Noah's nap, we went back to the arboretum and Chris took some pictures of me and Noah (for Mother's Day).  It was way windier than we expected and Noah wasn't very in to looking at the camera, but we still managed to get a few shots.  We also got the family picture from above by putting the camera on a bench and using our remote (love that thing!).  I plan to post more from that "session" later this week.

Hope you had a great weekend!  Now it's back to our weekly routine and Chris working long hours :(  I wish we were celebrating Cinco de Mayo today, but Chris has a work dinner tonight, so it's just me and Noah.  I guess I'll have to live vicariously through my Instagram feed ;)

  1. Sounds like a fabulous weekend! And I totally agree... eating out with kids is WAY different than eating out pre-kids!

  2. Looks like your weekend was busy & fun-filled! Loving Noah's Nets jersey!
Can't wait to see them beat the Heat tonight :P
