DIY Banner

Noah's 1st Birthday and Party are less than two weeks away.  We've been getting everything ready for it with lots of lists, trips to the store, and even some DIY projects.  I decided to make a little banner/bunting with Noah's name on it.  I haven't decided where to hang it yet, but wherever it goes I'm sure it will look cute.

His party will have a blue and green nautical theme.  So I went to Michael's and picked up some blue and green patterned 12X12 scrapbook paper.  I made the first triangle by marking the center of the paper on the bottom and then using a ruler draw a line to the top corners, making a triangle.  After the first one was made, I just used that as the template for the rest.

For the letters, I printed out large letters from my computer (just using Word), and then taped the piece of paper to the gray card stock I bought.  I then just followed along the letter with my scissors.  We used this same technique when we did a monogram jack-o-lantern one year.

That's my simple DIY banner for Noah's party.  I plan to use some ribbon, or maybe even some twine (since it seems more nautical), to hang it at the party. I can't wait to show you guys the finished product :)
