Baby Noah - Week 40

Weight:  Around 24 1/2 lbs.

Health:  Noah's cold was still pretty bad over the weekend and the beginning of the week.  This meant we had to suck the snot out of his nose using the nosefrida a lot!  Thankfully his cold is now gone!  The teething however is never ending it seems!

Sleep:  This week had some real highs and lows in the sleep department.  Friday night he slept through the night!  Not only did he not wake up for a bottle, but Chris didn't even have to go in and pat his butt at all!  But then Tuesday night, we had one of our worst nights ever.   Chris had to rock him back to sleep only an hour after he went to bed.  Then Noah was up at 12:30 needing a bottle, up again at 1:30 and this time he never really went back to sleep again.  Finally at 4 am we gave up and he slept on me until 6:30.  Of course this was a night when I had to get up early the next morning and attend an 8 hour tax class!  I give props to working moms... I don't know how you do it!

Clothes:  Still wears his 6-12 but the 12-18 are more comfortable.  I am now starting to buy more 12-18 to finish out the summer.

Social:  We had a busy and fun weekend, which you can read about here.  Since I had my tax classes on Tuesday and Wednesday, my mom came over to watch him.  Thursday, we met Elena for lunch.

Diet:  Noah now eats waffles or pancakes every morning for breakfast, along with a fruit.  He loves feeding himself!  It's the perfect combination of letting him have some independence with eating without getting too messy.  And he still gets his healthy fruits!  I tried giving him turkey and cheese for lunch again, but this time he was not a fan!  This week he tried Cherry Sweet Corn and Greek Yogurt and Apple Raisin Quinoa.  He also got to have some of my "Frozen Banana" and Carnitas from my Chipotle Burrito Bowl.  He loves getting to eat stuff that we are eating!

Baby Gear Love:   I love our Itzy Ritzy Shopping Cart/High Chair Cover!  I love it so much I want to get a second one.  I want one for the car and one to stay in his stroller since we often walk to restaurants.  There have been a few times that I wish I had it with me but it was either in the car when we've walked somewhere or I forgot it at home.  It would also make it easier to have an extra one when I need to wash it.

Daddy Time:   There's not much Noah Daddy Time documented this week.  Other than them hanging out on the weekend, they had their usual nighttime routine... playing, bath, and bed time.  Last night Chris had to work late and didn't get to do bedtime with Noah :(

Milestones:   Noah kind of started to "cruise".  He doesn't do it all the time, and when he does it's very slow, but it's a start!  The first time he did it was because he was trying to get to the cookies I was eating!

Likes:    Noah loves to take walks around Morristown.  He especially likes stopping by the fountain!

Mommy:  I had my tax classes this week.  Whenever I have two days in a row of CPE classes, I appreciate being home with Noah every day.  While it's nice to get out and talk to adults, I really do love spending my days with Noah.

Happy 40 Weeks Noah!

  1. He is so stinking cute! Both my boys skipped the cruising phase (so strange). Cullen sat until he was 11 months old, then scooted on his bum, then just got up and walked. B crawled forever because it was faster and he could keep up with C!
