Saying Goodbye to June with a Fun Filled Weekend

I can't believe it's already July and half the year is already done!  We finished June off with a pretty busy weekend.  Chris took off work on Friday since we had wanted to go to the zoo with Noah.   But when thunderstorms were in the forecast, we decided to stay home and instead just went out to breakfast at this small little restaurant around the corner from us.  They had one of those highchairs that connects to the table for Noah to sit in... it actually worked really well!  Noah is happy eating slices of bananas and bread whenever we go out.  He also made friends with the waiters and an older gentleman sitting at the counter... it was really cute.

On Saturday, we took Noah for his FIRST swim lesson at the YMCA... but more on that later this week.  Saturday afternoon, our friends Joe and Teri came for a visit.  Chris went to college with Joe and they were both in each other's weddings.  This was the first time they had met Noah, so we were really looking forward to this visit!

When Noah woke up from his nap, we went for a walk around Morristown and of course had to show Joe and Teri our favorite water fountain.  After a shaky start, Noah finally warmed up to Teri and was giggling at her and of course giving his typical "Popeye" face.

We then watched some TV and relaxed inside our nice air conditioned apartment while Noah had his afternoon nap.  We went for a nice Italian dinner at Guerriero's, and once again Noah did great and made friends with people at the neighboring tables and with the owner.

On Sunday, we drove into Hoboken to visit Chris' Gram.  Chris' Uncle Eugene owns a couple of restaurants in Hoboken, and Sunday went to the Elysian for brunch.  The food was amazing, and in addition to seeing Gram, we also got to see Uncle Eugene and Aunt Joyce.

Goodbye June, Hello July!
And Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian readers (my relatives)!
