Baby Noah - Week 4

I really can't believe little Noah is already 4 weeks old!  This past Monday was my original due date and it was so strange to think that he could have only been arriving this week!  After getting to know his likes and dislikes and decode his different cries, I feel like we've known Noah forever.

Weight:  I would guess he's around 8 pounds now... he's been eating like a champ and finally getting those cute baby cheeks, chin, and a little stomach!

Health:  Noah's eye is better!  His bum was a little red this week, but I wouldn't call it diaper rash.  I don't like waking him to change his diaper, but I've made a real effort to change him every time he's awake now!   Now we've been putting vaseline on his bum and it's been helping a lot!

Sleep: Noah sleeps great, but we still need to work on him sleeping on his own.  This past week I noticed he wanted to be held more.  I really don't mind, but in the long run he will need to sleep in some sort of "bed".

Clothes: Noah is now officially wearing 0-3 clothes!

Social: My friend/co-worker, Jill, came to visit on Saturday.  Grammy and Grandpa Flinn came by on Sunday.  They had been in Cancun for the week of Thanksgiving and needed to get their Noah fix when they got home.  One of my best friends, Marlaina, came to meet Noah on Wednesday.  As usual Grandma has been coming by each day to help out.

Diet: Breastmilk and formula.  Thankfully I keep pumping more and more each day :)

Baby Gear Love: This week we tried his Boppy Newborn Lounger.

Crying: Noah was really good this week with crying.  He's doing better during diaper changes and his bath.  Chris and I have learned little tricks to make both better.

Likes: Noah likes his hands... they are always in his mouth.  He also likes lying on his back on the floor and kicking his legs.

He also loves watching TV with daddy... especially football games!

Milestones: Noah had his first bath where he didn't cry the whole time!  Thankfully it wasn't a one time thing... we had another bath this week where I think he may have actually enjoyed it!

Postpartum: My scar is healing great and I'm feeling really good.  I think it helps a lot that my mom is here to help me with laundry, make sure I eat, and get a nap each day.  I don't know what I'd do without her.  The apartment would probably be a total disaster and I doubt I'd get a shower each day.  Thankfully I'm growing more confident that soon I'll be able to do it all on my own so that my mom can come over a little later each day and soon enough she can come just a few days a week instead of every day.

We also got two "sneak peaks" from Noah's newborn session.  So far I'm in love and can't wait to see the rest!
