Photo Safari - Central Park

On Saturday, Chris and I headed into the NYC to do a "Photo Safari" around Central Park.  We had found the company through Groupon and since we had just gotten the camera for Christmas, we decided it would be a great opportunity to get better at taking pictures.  The class started at 9:30, but since we were nervous about traffic, parking, and finding the meeting location within Central Park, we left early.  We ended up getting to the meeting point at 8:45, plenty of time :)

Our teacher/tour guide was great, giving us simple tips on how to take better pictures and on composition.  Chris used our old point and shoot for most of the time while I used the Nikon, but then we switched towards the end.  We learned that it really didn't matter much which camera you had, it was just finding the right picture.  It was a lot of fun, I would definitely recommend doing it if you live nearby or even if you come to visit NYC... they have lots of different locations of the "Safaris".

It started out cloudy and even had some sprinkles, but by the end the sun was out and it had actually gotten pretty warm.  We finished at 12 and then headed to find a place for lunch.  We found this little restaurant called "Eats" on the Upper East Side and got this great Cheeseburger with caramelized onions on it :)  Right down the street was a baby store called Giggle.  We are currently looking for a glider, but most of the ones we see online don't have a store for us to go try them out.  Thankfully, Chris did some research and learned that Giggle carried the Luca Glider, so we took this opportunity to go try it out.  I'm glad we did, because we loved it and now we are sure that this is the glider for us.  Now we just have to pick out what color we want!

We had a really great time in the city, but I was starting to get a bad headache and the horrendous traffic on the way home did not help!  By the time we got home I was in a lot of pain.  My head was throbbing and my feet and legs were super sore from all the walking.  So I decided to get in bed and rest for the remainder of the day.  Man does pregnancy really take a lot of energy out of you... I really just can't do as much as I used to be able to!   I guess it prepares you for when the baby comes and you really can't do all the things you used to.  Even with all the changes, I wouldn't give any of it up... I really do enjoy being pregnant!
